HAVE QUESTIONS? WE'VE GOT ANWSERS.
Is home health speech therapy covered by insurance? ______________________________________________________________ Yes. Home health ST is typically covered by Medicare and most private insurance plans if medically necessary. We verify benefits before starting care and will discuss any out-of-pocket costs ahead of time.
Who provides the speech therapy services at home? ______________________________________________________________ A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides in-home therapy. In some cases, a certified speech therapy assistant (SLPA) may assist under the supervision of the SLP. All care is coordinated based on a physician’s order and personalized to the patient’s needs.
How often will my speech therapist visit? ______________________________________________________________ Visit frequency is based on your doctor’s orders and your medical needs. Some patients may receive visits several times a week, while others may need only occasional check-ins. Our care team regularly evaluates your progress and adjusts the schedule as needed.
Do I need to be homebound to qualify? _____________________________________________________________ If you have Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan, you must meet homebound criteria, meaning it takes considerable effort or assistance to leave home. If you have commercial insurance, this requirement may not apply. We’ll help verify your benefits and eligibility.
