Is home health therapy covered by insurance? ______________________________________________________________ Yes. Home health PT is typically covered by Medicare and most private insurance plans if medically necessary. We verify benefits before starting care and will discuss any out-of-pocket costs ahead of time.
Who provides the occupational therapy services at home? ______________________________________________________________ Occupational therapy is provided by licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), working together under a physician-directed care plan to help patients regain independence and safety in their daily lives.
How often will my therapist visit? ______________________________________________________________ Visit frequency depends o your physician's plan of care and your clinical needs. On average, patients are seen 2 to 3 times per week, but this may vary based on progress and goals.
Do I need to be homebound to qualify? _____________________________________________________________ If you have Traditional Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan, you must meet the homebound criteria to qualify. However, if you have a commercial (non-Medicare Advantage) insurance plan, this requirement may not apply. Coverage varies, so our team will verify your benefits and help you understand your eligibility.
